Punjab Agricultural University has launched an AI-driven mobile app that forecasts soil health based on real-time satellite imagery, rainfall data, and historic crop patterns. The app gives farmers personalized advice on crop rotation, fertilizer use, and moisture retention. Pilot trials among 10,000 farmers showed a 17% improvement in yield and a 21% drop in chemical fertilizer usage. The app is now being promoted through Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) across the state and will be translated into Punjabi and Hindi.
